Chipmonks scattered

The illustrationfriday topic of the week is scattered… With the fall swiftly swooping in, I decided to use the scattering of the leaves as a launching point for my sketch this week… My wife and i usually walk during lunch, and we have been seeing a large amount of squirrels and chipmunks scurrying about in a hurry to prepare for the coming winter season.. Not all work as it seems… these chipmunks are vast at play or at least one of them is.. The older chipmunk watching as the efforts of his leaf raking chore gets scattered about… the younger chippy enjoying the fall bounty of leaves..

Hibernate

Illustration Fridays subject this week is hibernate… i had a chance to throw together a sketch of the first vision that came to mind…

grumpy old Mr Bear in his nice warm feety pajamas, up for a late snack during his yearly hibernation season, or maybe he heard a noise? got up groggily to investigate? Just the wind? Good! Time to get back to his nice warm bed, to sleep out the rest of the winter..

On a side note… is it really almost fall, gah i cant believe the summer is over.. where did it all go? Sometimes I wish I could just sleep through the winter… take a page from Mr Bear, and just skip it completely?

IF Bicycle

It has been some time since I took part in an illustration Friday post, so this weeks illustration Friday is bicycle… so how can i twist such a simple…. innocent subject… i figure i will just draw it as i see it… in my mind… 

this fine gentlemen is out for a relaxing Sunday ride in his spiffy derby and cufflinks… smoking a fine cigar on his custom bicycle… maybe to meet up with his lady friend.. or to stop off at the pub for some poker… keeping it classy of course.

Dr who bad guy sketch

Playing around with a new bad guy concept sketch for dr who..

This is a scavenger alien race… Steals technology from other races and combines it with it’s own body… This leaves open the possibility to bring back many of the doctors old adversaries at one time in a new twisted way.. The best of the worst in a way of speaking..

Felt a little like sketching out my idea of the master of all the dark little somethings and evil unmentionable nothings… But instead I sketched out cthulhu..

Anyway… Did this on sketchbook pro.. Via iPad with a targus stylus.. I love it.. Better then any sketchbook… Makes it easy to sketch on the go…

IF – surrender

It has been some time since the last time i posted… everything has just been a mess so far this year.. my eyes have been troublesome.. the new treatments seem to be working, but they still give me problems and it has been A LOT of shots in the last six months.. but I will post an update on that later…

anyway the illustration Friday topic is surrender… but since we are more then half way out of the years snow blitz… i am going with… DON’T surrender… like this guy.. he isn’t giving up…. even though another foot will drop on him tonight while he is sleeping… he will keep that sidewalk clean…. i wish i has this (little) of a sidewalk to keep clean.. my driveway is way too big…

Quick sketch waiting for dinner to be done… I really like the brushes in sketchbook pro… great for laying down an idea and daubing on some color thoughts… then publish it out to Photoshop with layers and go from there…..

good morning! a quick post on my break… the illustration friday subject this week is afterwards… and with all the political hub-bub going on in the United Stats right now… I just couldnt help myself in doing up a little cartoon reflecting what i perceive as the current position of President Obama… After essentually becoming the scape goat to both sides of the political pandering in this years election…
